Club Development Plans

We are embarking on an ambitious development plan aimed at securing the future of the club and ensuring that each and every member will have access to world class facilities.

The development plan incorporates 3 aspects all of which are on display at Piltown:

  • Acquisition and development of additional land
  • Redevelopment, extension and modernisation of the club house at Piltown
  • Provision of changing facilities and additional lighting at Seafield

We have been in lengthy negotiations with the GAA and banks on the above developments which see close to a €3 million spend, which will be funded by a combination of own funds, grants, donations and loan finance. To achieve our ambitions we need to finance loan repayments of a minimum of €100,000 per annum.

That is a stretch but with drive, effective management of costs and a commitment by us all, these ambitions can and will be achieved!

St Colmcilles GAA club occupies a unique place in the history and future of East Meath. The club is the only sporting and community body that serves the entire East Meath and South Drogheda area. It has risen to the challenges faced by a rapidly growing population, touching the lives of residents of the area every single day, and its success has now become our biggest challenge.
